The intersection of 180th and Highway 370 near Gretna in Western Sarpy County is getting a much needed addition.
It was the scene of a terrible crash last October that killed Nate LaFave and critically wounded the driver Maddie Shely and passenger Carly Kelly.
The Nebraska Department of Roads is planning to install a traffic light at the intersection.
Engineers have taken the first steps to include it in the next fiscal year's budget.
We're told that while the October crash was tragic, the decision to install the light is based on a traffic study.
If all goes as planned, the light could be up and running by July.
