Omaha Public Schools officially have a new superintendent. On Wednesday night, the board unanimously approved the 3-year contract for Mark Evans.
Evans, who is currently working in Kansas, will begin his job in Omaha this July.
Here are some of the highlights of the contract: $265,000 annual salary, 14% annuity of salary per year, 25 vacation days, 30 days of paid sick leave, $12,000 car expense per year and up to $15,000 one-time moving reimbursement.
