People living in a Northwest Omaha neighborhood are rallying together, concerned about a possible new neighbor.
An empty lot near 192nd and Leavenworth could soon be transformed into a major apartment complex. Many in the area have several concerns, including the increase of traffic and the proximity of the apartment complex to their homes.
Neighbors aren't just talking, they're taking action. "We just thought it would be good to get signatures to possibly present it to the Planning Board or to our closest council member and see if they can help us," said Anne Loeffler.
Neighbors are willing to work with the developers who wouldn't speak to Channel Six for this story.
People will have a chance to voice their concerns. The Planning Board will hold a public meeting next Wednesday at 1:30 PM.
