A 19-year-old Lincoln man is on probation for two years for trying to bribe an officer last year during a child pornography investigation.
Samuel Castagna pleaded guilty to obstructing an officer and child abuse in connection with a Jan. 2011 incident in which investigators seized a computer from his apartment.
Authorities found images of children involved in sexually explicit conduct.
Court records show that when confronted by a Nebraska State Patrol investigator, Castagna offered bribes up to $500 a month for a year if the officer would let him go.
He was sentenced Monday to two years of probation for each charge, but the sentences will be served concurrently.
As part of probation, Castagna cannot use the Internet unless under direct supervision.
