A 33-year-old Lincoln man has been accused of cashing in life insurance policies of two strangers.
Zachariah Lyons is sought on a warrant listing two counts of theft by deception last year.
The Nebraska Insurance Department sought the warrant. Department investigators say Lyons was working as a financial processor for a company that administers life insurance policies. The investigators say that between Aug. 8 and Aug. 31 last year, Lyons requested disbursements from two policies and then had the two checks cashed. They totaled more than $21,400.
The company has reimbursed the policyholders.
A public phone listing for Lyons couldn't be found. Online court records don't list the name of his attorney.
