The Nebraska Supreme Court has rejected the appeal of Hickman man who claimed his child sex abuse case should have been transferred to juvenile court.
Jerad Parks was sentenced earlier this year to six months in jail, three years' probation and ordered to register as a sex offender.

The now 26-year-old Parks pleaded no contest to felony child abuse and sexual assault. He later appealed, saying that because he was a juvenile at the time of the offenses, he should have been tried in juvenile court.
The Nebraska Supreme Court said Friday that Parks' age at the
time of the crime did not automatically give him the right to be tried as a juvenile.
