The University of Nebraska is establishing a new center to study concussions in sports and other brain issues.
The new center for Brain, Biology and Behavior will be a collaboration between athletics and research. The NU Board of Regents approved the center on Friday.
University of Nebraska-Lincoln vice chancellor Prem Paul says no other research center will have the same combination of cutting-edge gear, research leadership and strong ties with athletics.
The center will cost $1.5 million, and it will be located next to Memorial Stadium.
