State labor officials in Nebraska and Iowa released monthly figures Friday that show unemployment rates fell in November.
In Nebraska, the jobless rate fell from 3.8 percent in October to 3.7 percent in November, the lowest level in four years. The November 2011 jobless rate was 4.3 percent.
The unemployment rate in Omaha stood at 3.7 percent, down from 3.9 percent in October. The rate in Lincoln fell from 3.2 percent to 3 percent in November.
In Iowa, the jobless rate fell from 5.1 percent in October to 4.9 percent in November. The November 2011 rate was 5.6 percent. Iowa has not yet reported rates for individual cities and counties.
Both states continued to report stronger numbers than the national unemployment rate, which stood at 7.7 percent.
