Bennington residents may have a new neighbor, the kind no one wants. The Douglas County Sheriff's Department is checking out what they call a "credible report" of a mountain lion sighting.
We're told a landscaper spotted the mountain lion near 156th Street and Bennington Road. That worries deputies because there's an elementary school right off that intersection.
Investigators checked it out, but couldn't find any evidence.
