An Omaha man was taken to the hospital late Sunday night after hitting a concrete barrier at the I-680 southbound to I-80 eastbound curve.
According to police, 46-year-old Donald Gundersen lost control and hit the concrete barrier on the south side lanes. Although he was wearing a helmet, Gundersen was taken to the hospital to be treated for a small brain bleed, broken leg, and a collapsed lung.
Police said speed and alcohol are not factors; however, they added that the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending following Gundersen's release from the hospital.
