Stepmom Allegedly Hits Daughter in the Ribs with Hanger

A woman has been charged with felony child abuse after deputies say she hit her daughter with a plastic hanger in her ribs.

37-year-old Dawn Twohig faces up to five years in prison.

In July, a deputy with the Saunders County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an assault involving a step-mother and her daughter.

Twohig is scheduled to appear in the Saunders County Court for a preliminary hearing next month.
