More construction woes for Lincoln drivers as a section of Capitol Parkway will undergo resurfacing.
Starting July 8th, South 21st to South 33rd streets on Capitol Parkway will be worked on causing some lanes to be closed off for about 6 weeks.
Some neighbors in the area say that section of the street is very busy especially during the rush hour.
"It's a very busy street especially around quitting time when they get off work and early morning," said Richard Rupe who lives in the area.
The project will include new asphalt, widening turn lanes at the Randolph street intersection. Access to side streets will be limited during the project.
The construction is not just about the street but the sidewalks as well. They will make sure the curbs are constructed to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act standards.
