The National Weather Service continues the heat advisory through Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures once again on Tuesday will rise to the upper 90s however high humidity will make it feel like 105 to 110 degrees.
The Heartland should remain rain-free tonight, but a cold front dropping south out of the Dakotas will likely trigger wet weather on Wednesday.
The Storm Prediction Center has much of eastern Nebraska and western Iowa in a slight risk for strong to severe storms on Wednesday. The main weather concerns would be hail and gusty winds.
Although some isolated showers and storms are possible in the late mornings hours, the best likelihood of rain comes after 1PM.
