Although Midwesterners are bracing for the second major storm in a week, the weather will deliver some much needed moisture to wheat crops devastated from drought conditions. The drought is persisting in much of the plains, leading to crop losses and water emergencies.
The audience for Sunday night's Oscar broadcast jumped about four percent over last year, according to preliminary Nielsen ratings. Even better news for the 18 to 49 demographic, coveted by advertisers, those ratings rose nearly 20 percent.
