Here are the headlines from Monday's Bloomberg Market Report.
Bloomberg has learned that Dell is in talks to go private. The personal computer maker lost almost a third of its value in 2012 and is now in buyout talks with two private equity firms; however, those talks are only in the beginning stages. Dell has been struggling as consumers switch to tablets and smartphones, instead of using PCs.
Stocks ended the day little changed as Dell's rally on buyout talks offset a slump in Apple.
General Motors says it's expanding in China. GM is the top-selling foreign automaker there, so it's adding onto previously announced plans for two factories.
