After searching for a 19-year-old woman missing in the waters of Carter Lake, rescuers are relieved to learn she was found safe on land.
Around three o'clock Tuesday morning, authorities responded to a call of swimmers in the lake. Several got out, but police say Taylor Adams, who was skinny dipping, wouldn't get out of the water. An official tried to pull her into the boat, but she swam away.
Crews from Omaha and Carter Lake were on hand for the potential water rescue. But they called off their search around 5 AM when they were certain she wasn't in danger.
About a half hour after calling off the search, Adams was found safe at a gas station at 60th & Grover.
