Millard North Students, Teachers Okay After Bus Accident

A group of Millard North High School students and teachers on a DECA trip escaped injury when their bus T-boned a truck in one of several accidents on Interstate 43 between Milwaukee and Racine, Wisconsin Sunday that killed one person.

MPS spokeswoman Rebecca Kleeman told WOWT 6 News there were no injuries among the 49 students, three teachers and a chaperon. The truck driver was not hurt.

The group was scheduled to return to Omaha Sunday night, but the accident and weather conditions have them spending the night in Rockford, Illinois. They will return sometime on Monday.
