The Millard School District is asking for $79.9 million.
The bond issue will go before the voters during the general election on May 14th.
The district is asking for the money for three different reasons.
The first is to improve security at school buildings with things such as buzzer systems for front doors, as well as security locks on classrooms.
They also want three school additions and renovations to account for growth.
The third reason for the bond issue is for major maintenance issues like HVAC systems and roof repairs.
The bond issue would add about $35 per year in property taxes for every $100,000 of valuation.
