U.S. Sen. Mike Johanns and his wife, Stephanie, will be inducted into the Nebraska Republican Party Hall of Fame.

The Johanns will be inducted Saturday evening at the state GOP's Founders Day awards dinner in Kearney.

Johanns announced last month that he would not seek re-election in 2014.

The event will feature remarks from U.S Sen. Deb Fischer, Rep. Adrian Smith and 2011 Miss America Teresa Scanlan, of Gering.

Other honorees will include former Nebraska Republican Party Chairman Chuck Sigerson, who will receive the Living Legend award, and state party treasurer Rod Krogh, who will receive the Keith Glaze Booster Club award to recognize his dedication to the party.
