Mighty Mo is Shrinking
The Missouri River continues to shrink. Just 17-months after record floods the Mighty Mo isn't so mighty any more.

(4) 8.15 ft on 01/12/1982

According to NOAA's Advanced Hydrologic Prediction charts; the Missouri, Tuesday afternoon, dropped to the 8.2-feet level. That's 21-feet below flood stage.
You can see the exposed sand bars and the high water mark on the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge seems almost impossibly high.
Of course river navigation has been compromised because of the low levels in the river.
The Missouri River through Omaha and Council Bluffs has been lower; the lowest reading ever is just 6.85 feet taken in February of 1989.
