An accident in midtown Omaha Saturday morning led to the arrest of a woman for refusing to take a breathalyzer test.
According to witnesses, the driver of an SUV caused the accident when she turned south onto 44th Street from the middle lane of eastbound Dodge just after midnight. She appeared shaken by the incident, but officers believe she had been drinking and asked her to take a field sobriety test. She refused and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
The driver of the car she hit was having difficulty breathing and was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center as a precaution.
