The phrase "nothing good happens after midnight" definitely did not apply early Sunday morning as dozens stayed up late to ski and snowboard down Mount Crescent in Crescent, Iowa.
The ski area opened late and stayed open until 4 a.m. Robert Minert said he and his friends planned to stay the whole time.
"It’s a midnight madness here at Mount Crescent, which is pretty fun. We're here with all your friends and stuff. It's just a good time. I mean you don't even have to be good at snowboarding and everyone has a good time."
This was the second Midnight Madness event at Mount Crescent this year.
