Family members of murder victim Michala Pomfret have established a fund in her memory. Pomfret’s stepfather allegedly killed her this week at her Bellevue home. Her family says portions of the fund will go to help victims of similar crimes through the organization Women Against Gun Violence.
Donations can be sent to the Memorial Account for Michala R. Pomfret at any Great Western Bank. Donations will also be accepted at area Olive Gardens in Michael's honor.
Michala was in a hospital fighting for her life more than a day after the shooting. Some of the money will go toward medical expenses.
The rest will go to Women Against Gun Violence. The organization’s website can be found by clicking here.
Donations will also be accepted at Pomfret’s funeral Saturday at 4pm at the Bellevue Memorial Chapel. Immediately following, there will be a celebration of life reception at the Bellevue Volunteer Fire Hall.
