The Kitchen Place claims to be reorganizing. The posting said customers with existing orders will be contacted. The company states "We are hopeful the reorganization will be completed in the next few days.”
However, two customers are skeptical after stopping at the Omaha store near 132nd and West Center Rd. They found the landlord changing the locks.
Shervin Ansari put down $16,000 on a kitchen cabinets project that didn’t get started. Ansari said, “We contacted the manufacturer and contacted the granite contractor and none of the individuals were paid to start our work.”
Amy Uehling who paid a $5,000 deposit said she’s contacted Norfolk police where the kitchen place is headquartered. She’s asking for a fraud investigation. Uehling said, “It’s very suspicious. We don’t know what they’ve done with the money or where they’ve gone. They aren’t answering phone calls.”
