Meals On Wheels Receives Free New Car

A program dedicated to delivering hot meals to senior citizens has received a brand new car for free!

The Charitable Foundation for Caesar’s Entertainment donated a car to the Meals on Wheels program in Council Bluffs. The program is run by the American Red Cross Loess Hills Chapter.

It’s a program that helps thousands in our area and organizers were thrilled to get the new wheels. “It will keep us going for many years to come. We can drive this around with a great deal of pride and gratitude for the foundation supporting us always,” said Susan Schwartz of the American Red Cross.

The program is also dependent on drivers and they are always looking for volunteers.
