Mayor Jean Stothert announced Friday the appointment of Stephen Curtiss as Omaha's new finance director.
Curtiss has 30 years of financial management experience in the private and public sector, including managing the state's Medicaid program under Gov. Mike Johanns from 2000-2004.
Curtiss, who will earn $145,000 a year, starts on December 9th. He takes over for interim Finance Director Al Herink, who will return to his part-time role as city comptroller.
