A Falls City, Nebraska man is accused of stealing over $600,000 from his elderly uncle.

The Nebraska State Patrol says 55-year-old Lewis Rakosnik was
arrested at his uncle's home in Pawnee City on felony charges of knowing and intentional abuse of a vulnerable adult.

Rakosnik is suspected of liquidating over $600,000 of his uncle's assets over an 11-month period.

Rakosnik moved into his uncle's home and was given durable power of attorney. The patrol says he sold land, cashed in CDs and transferred money from his uncle's bank account.

The uncle's name has not been released.
