Lincoln police say they have sorted out how a violent string of events unfolded early Saturday morning. They say a man stabbed his girlfriend’s boyfriend – and then went after several other people.
Police were called to 266 Garber Street on a report of a disturbance about 4:30am. They say 29-year old Bradly Peters confronted Daniel Lane, Junior. The two men have been dating a 27-year old woman. Bradley allegedly attacked Lane then threatened him with a .22 caliber gun.
A woman at the home was able to get the gun away from Peters. Peters then pulled out a knife and stabbed Lane six times in the abdomen. His girlfriend and the other woman were also cut during the altercation.
Lane underwent surgery at a hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. Peters was arrested for first degree assault, two counts of second degree assault, using a weapon to commit a felony, and making terroristic threats.
