Lincoln Police arrested a man after he threatened to kill his neighbor.
According to police, the 41-year-old victim fell asleep in his unlocked apartment near 16th and D Streets and woke up to his neighbor standing over his bed around 3 a.m. Monday.
Officer Katie Flood said 43-year-old Cornelius Pratt accused the victim of saying bad things about his wife. The victim forced Pratt out of his apartment and the argument continued in the hallway. Pratt reportedly pulled out a machete and threatened to kill him.
Flood said other residents of the apartment complex witnessed the incident. Police arrested Pratt for terroristic threats, use of a weapon to commit a felony and trespassing.
