A 24-year-old Omaha man pleads no contest for 1st degree false imprisonment charges.
Glenn Nickerson is accused of assaulting a woman outside a jazzercise class in mid-June.
Christine Hamilton says it was the scariest moment of her life. She goes to jazzercise class several times a week, but usually not at 5:30 a.m.
"I just decided to go early in the morning," she said. "I just had other stuff to do that day."
What she didn't expect that morning was many of the women had seen a man lurking around, so they notified security. Then after the class, she left with another woman to head home
Thinking security would be outside and that they would be okay as a pair they went towards the parking lot.
While Hamilton made it to her car, when she looked up the other woman hadn't. Nickerson was following her.
Hamilton used the only weapons she had, her keys and voice and took off running. She says luckily a realtor nearby heard the screams and came to help.
"I was so thankful, because I really don't know what I would have done, had I actually reached them," she said. "He punched him, and the guy just punched him right back."
The realtor has a shiner in return and Nickerson took off. The other woman was shaken, but okay.
Nickerson is facing a felony charge in the incident.
