A Lincoln man is facing a host of charges after allegedly leading police on two separate chases. The first began about 9pm Thursday.
Police say 46-year old Stoney Hill failed to stop for a traffic violation. After a few minutes, Hill managed to get away. Then about a half hour later, a Lancaster County Deputy who was driving in to begin his shift spotted a speeding Jeep near Coddington and West Van Dorn.
After learning the Jeep was the same vehicle that was chased earlier, the deputy gave chase. The pursuit ended when the driver pulled into a field entrance near S 84th Street & A Street.
Deputies found Hill in an outbuilding on the property and took him into custody.
He was cited for fleeing to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, obstructing a peace officer, speeding, stop sign violation, driving with a suspended license, having fictitious plates, and criminal mischief.
