A man is expected to survive after being hit by a train in north Omaha Tuesday afternoon. Investigators believe he was crossing the tracks illegally when the train was stopped, but the train started to move while he was crossing.
The lights at the railroad crossing at 13th and Grand Avenue were on around 12 p.m. as a Union Pacific train picked up some cars.
A man was crossing in between two cars and the train started moving again. He was caught and injured his foot.
