A 53-year-old man was arrested for allegedly using a bolt cutter to cut through a downed power line. The woman who lived in the home told police, the suspect, Kevin Goodwin told her that he worked for OPPD.

Officers were called to the victim's home, near 24th and Laurel Avenue, on June 24. When they arrived, Goodwin allegedly told the officers his mother lived in the home and he cut the line so she could get her car out.

The woman who lives in the home told officers she didn't know Goodwin. At that point, Goodwin took off on foot. Officers caught up to him less than a block away; however, they said Goodwin tried to wrestle away from officers.

He was eventually arrested on multiple counts, including possession of burglary tools, felony theft by unlawful taking, destruction of property, and resisting arrest.
