Man Caught Trying To Shoplift $1,500 In Clothes

A 37-year-old Omaha man was arrested late Wednesday morning after trying to steal more than $1,500 in clothing from a west Omaha department store.

According to the police report, the man left the Dillards store at Oakview Mall without paying Wednesday morning at 11:21 a.m. with arm loads of clothing, including 10 pairs of Boss brand jeans valued at about $150 each.

That officer and another on-duty officer were able to end the foot pursuit a few blocks away at 13900 Gold Cir.
