A more than ten hour standoff in Elkhorn ended Monday with an arrest.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Department, the parents of a 23-year-old got into an argument at their home on South 219th Street, just south of W. Center. The son went upstairs and refused to come out around midnight.
Deputies spent hours trying to end the situation peacefully, before deploying tear gas around 10 a.m. According to emergency dispatchers, the man was brought out of the home and checked at the scene, before being taken into custody.
His name has not yet been released.
