Weeks of brainstorming, planning, and creativity paid off for three Louisville High School students. Thanks to viewer votes, they won the WOWT Driven to be the Best Video Challenge.
On Tuesday, Sam Sensor, Jacob Bruce, and Wrenn Sensor were honored at a school assembly. Performance Auto Group, who sponsored the contest, presented each student with a new iPad. The school was also awarded a check for five-thousand dollars.
Sam Sensor told WOWT 6 News he got the idea for the commercial by talking with his family. The deer featured are stuffed heads from his grandfather's wall.
Sensor said, "We had to open the sunroof for the antlers to get up there and then we would lean all the seats back and move them from there it was funny and difficult all at the same time."
Jacob Bruce added, "They were sitting in the back just holding it with their arms around the seat so they could turn it like that."
More than 70 videos were submitted to the Driven to be the Best Video Challenge. In addition to the prizes, viewers will see the winning PSA on the air during the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
