Two metro area men have only themselves to blame for getting into trouble Tuesday morning. They refused to leave a home when they were asked to go.
The Cass County, Nebraska Sheriff’s office says the men were brought to the home in Murdock by the homeowner’s grandson the night before to sleep in the basement. When the 85-year-old homeowner learned of this, she asked them to leave but they refused.
They were willing to leave once deputies arrived. In fact, they tried to flee the scene but deputies were able to apprehend them.
As it turns out, 33-year-old Joseph Lee Hall had two warrants for his arrest in Douglas County. Twenty-year-old Cody Alan Rolfe had warrants for his arrest in Washington County. Both suspects are from Council Bluffs.
The two will be charged in Cass Count with obstructing an officer and possession of a controlled substance.
