Lincoln Police Make Two Arrests

Lincoln police announced the arrests Wednesday morning of two people for separate crimes. Among the crimes is road rage.

Police say 21-year-old Adrian Phillips was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a collision. The crash happened Tuesday morning near 18th & Superior. Police say Phillips became upset at the other driver and punched the man multiple times.

The 24-year-old victim was transported to a hospital where doctors determined he suffered a left jaw fracture, an orbital fracture, and broken left ankle. Phillips was arrested for first degree assault and for providing false information.

Meanwhile, police arrested 27-year-old Jay Gilmore early Wednesday morning. Dispatch reported Gilmore violated terms of his probation and inappropriately touched an 8-year-old child. He was booked for third degree sexual assault of a child.
