Latest Netflix Release Has Viewers Hooked

OMAHA The "late" release of House of Cards had fans upset heading into Friday morning. The hit show for Netflix had announced it would release all 13 episodes of season two on Friday, leading most fans to believe it would be available at 12:01 a.m. (ET). Instead, the show wasn't available until midnight on the pacific coast.

Despite the late release the House of Cards creator Beau Willimon reported that all 50 states had people viewing the show within a few hours of the release.

The show has garnered a lot of attention for Netflix over the past year. Although it was shut out of major categories during the 2013 Emmys it did allow Netflix to become the first non-TV network to win an award.

The show has gained so much popularity even President Barack Obama sent a message on his Twitter account telling people he didn't want any spoilers. The Netflix series has people covered on that account, they've even released a web-based app that will block "spoilers" from showing up in your Twitter feed.
