For many, having to go up more than two flights of stairs and it's take the elevator instead. That wasn’t an option for the more than 2,000 participants in Saturday’s Trek Up The Tower.
Each person clocked in, then made the long trek up the First National Bank Tower in downtown Omaha. That meant running or walking up 40 floors and 870 steps. By the end, most were looking exhausted.
“The first seven you realized it was more difficult than it seemed, then once you got to 32 you knew you were close to the end, so it was worth it,” said Beth and Brian Buboltz.
The goal was to raise money for the Wellness Council of the Midlands.
