Shift to 4-lane traffic to begin today. The Nebraska Department of Roads and Hawkins Construction will be opening the new lanes on the south end of the Highway 75 4-lane expansion project near Plattsmouth today. You’re advised to drive cautiously through that area as many workers will be present. Flaggers will be utilized so expect some delays.
The Cassgram reports the lanes from south of School Road south to where the new 4 lanes end near 1st Avenue will be opened. NDOR project manager Rick Fisher says the new stop lights at Avenue B/Oak Hill Road and the new lighting along the route soon will be energized.
This will eliminate the traffic cones in that area and substantially completes the construction on the south end of the project.
Cassgram will have a project update soon on what to expect in the winter months.
