Continued flooding along the Missouri River has forced the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to cancel a special deer hunt in Lake Manawa State Park near Council Bluffs.
The Iowa DNR announced in a news release Tuesday that it was
canceling the deer hunt, scheduled to begin Oct. 1.
It says about 90 percent of the area where the hunt was to take place is still under several feet of water.
