A La Vista family is lighting up the holiday nights with a longstanding tradition that adds some extra glimmer to the season.
Mark and Deb Hansen take this seriously. Their home, near 104th and Elm Hurst in La Vista, is aglow with roughly 60,000 lights.
The property is ringed with seasonal accents from candy canes to reindeer and even a polar bear. Santa oversees things from the window and the whole stunning display is choreographed with festive tunes.
Mark said, "Mainly the reason I do it is for all the other little kids who don't get to go out and see something, well, you know, maybe a little extravagant."
The Hansens spend three weeks prepping the house for the holiday glow.
