It was so popular back in June that the organizers of Junkstock have created a Harvest Edition. They credit Web sites like Pinterest and a renewed focus on thrift for this weekend’s crowds.
Junkstock location: 315 S. 192nd Street
Admission: $5 - children 12 & under free
Sunday hours: 10am - 4pm
Junkstock has brought 50 vendors in from five different states and all of them have brought their junk to 192nd and Dodge streets in Omaha. Customers can pick over jewelry, bicycles or vintage clothing. Many of the items are "re-purposed" for other uses.
“To see people re-purpose jewelry and bicycles, olive baskets, if you took a look at all of the old suitcases and vintage signs, it is just amazing to see how creative people can get," says Josie Loza.
Junkstock also features live music, food and a free kids’ zone.
