An Iowa judge is slamming the phone on an Arizona telemarketer, but not before saying, “Never call again”.

Polk County Judge Douglas Staskal has ordered Advanced Employment Solutions to stop calling Iowans and provide refunds if requested. The state attorney general sued the company after employees sold trash bags, kitchen items, Bibles, and American flags while claiming to be handicapped veterans or disabled workers.

They were neither.

Attorney General Tom Miller says undercover recordings revealed several illegal deceptive techniques aimed at older Iowans.

The Better Business Bureau has given the company an F rating. Other than being misled about who was calling, customers have complained that they were charged much more than the actual value of the items. They also received solicitations for a foreign lottery with an upfront fee.
