Jail sentence for a 35-year-old Plattsmouth man. Clinton J. Kellerman had pled guilty several weeks ago to a Class IIIA Felony of refusal to submit to chemical test with Kellerman admitting to two prior DUI offenses. It was part of a plea agreement in which two other felony charges were dismissed.
The Cassgram reports the plea agreement also carried the joint recommendation of a 180 day sentence in the Cass County Jail. Cass County District Court Judge Randall Rehmeier agreed with the recommendation. Other than the incident last November in which Kellerman was arrested, Rehmeier noted that Kellerman had been doing “a pretty good job” over the last several years. The prior DUI convictions were in 2001 and 2007. In addressing the court, Kellerman said he had “no excuse” for the incident in November.
Kellerman’s license is suspended for 15 years but Rehmeier said he will be eligible to apply for an interlock system to operate a vehicle.
