Iowa Board to Decide on Duties of 2 Principals

A principal reinstated to her job by Iowa courts is expected to resume her duties at Durant High School.

Earlier this month the Iowa Supreme Court declined to review a lower-court's decision that said Monica Rouse was improperly fired in March 2010 and should get back her job.

In a statement from the Durant Community School District attorney didn't say whether Rouse will share office space or how she'll share the work with the current principal, Tony Neumann. She's expected to be back at the school to work on Monday.

The school board has asked Superintendent Duane Bennett to formalize the duties of Rouse and Neumann and present a proposal to the board.
