Fans of the American bald eagles featured on an Iowa Web site may have to wait to see the birds again because they are building a new nest outside the camera's view.

The eagles are building a new nest near Decorah, Iowa, about 300 feet away from their own one. Bob Anderson with the Raptor Resource Project, which set up the webcam, says the group won't be able to install cameras near the new nest until after the eagles' next eaglets leave the nest.

Anderson says the new nest isn't more secluded than the old one, so it's not likely the eagles are trying to escape the cameras. He says eagles often build a new nest even when their existing nest is fine.
