CORALVILLE, Iowa (AP) - Officials say a 25-year-old inmate has escaped from a correctional facility in eastern Iowa.
The state Department of Corrections says Anthony David Kendricks was placed on escape status Saturday when he didn't return to the Hope House work release facility in Coralville.
Officials say Kendricks, who was transferred to work release in March, had left the facility on furlough and failed to return. Additional information was not released.
Kendricks is serving a five-year sentence for intimidation with a dangerous weapon. His sentence began in August.
