The Iowa House is back at work with hopes of concluding the 2013 session.

The House convened Thursday morning. The Iowa Senate adjourned late Wednesday night.

Lawmakers seemed to be moving to full conclusion Wednesday after reaching deals to cut property taxes, revise education policy and provide health care for low-income residents.

But while the Senate voted to approve all those plans, action didn't move as quickly in the House. One issue arose over the Health and Human Services budget, with some Republican members opposing providing Medicaid funding for abortions.
